With just over 6 weeks to go until FAR, I put together my study schedule. Covers around 12 hours of lecture each week with time for MCQs and review before moving on to the next week. It’s definitely going to be a busy 6 weeks!

Classic – The 50 Most Loathsome Americans, 2009

First off, I wrote this review on Yelp; however, it doesn't show up when you search on Mozaic. It does, however, show up under my profile when I log into Yelp. I've read a few reviews online about Yelp hiding unfavorable reviews of merchants that advertise with them. I don't know if that's their practice, but it is very suspicious that my one unfavorable review is hidden from view. Anyways, they can't hide it from here:

Having read poor reviews about MoZaic on other sites, I decided to toss that aside and give it a fair shake. I went in with high hopes, but left feeling cheated. The evening started great after a couple of drinks in their small, but cozy bar and I quickly began to dismiss all of the bad reviews I had read – I chalked it up to unfortunate, isolated events. However, the experience to follow fell short of expectations and validated the other lackluster reviews.

The dining room, which has great potential, is poorly designed from a lighting standpoint. The lights were too bright, making it almost impossible to enjoy the southerly view through the large windows. Because of the reflection, they made for great mirrors… if you want to sit through dinner checking yourself out. Such a waste A bit disappointed with the ambiance, I hoped dinner would more than make up for it. I was wrong.

Although our server quickly greeted us, everything that came after seemed to take an eternity Appetizer… forever. Salads… forever. Dinner… arrived almost 90 minutes after we first sat down Once that arrived, it was another 15 minutes before we even saw our server. Sure nice of her to follow- up with us to see if everything turned out well.

And the food… well, it was fair at best: nothing special. In fact, nothing special about this place at all.

Even though I had just bought the Motorola Droid back in November (and have been quite happy with it), I jumped on an unlocked Google Nexus One earlier this week along with a no-contract T-Mobile voice/data plan. Although I tried T-Mobile several months ago with a MyTouch 3G, I quickly abandoned them because I found their 3G network connectivity inconsistent and slow. So yes, i was leery this time around; however, T-Mobile had just finished a major upgrade of their 3G network and i was willing to give them another chance.

The system worked, really? I guess that’s correct as long as the system doesn’t include keeping bombs off the plane to begin with. Another fine example of our crackerjack government in action.

Like many people out there, I take most of what I have in my life for granted. I’m not a selfish person, but I really should take the time to stop and realize just how fortunate I am, especially when there are so many out there struggling to make ends meet.

Today, however, is one of the days where it’s impossible to ignore the many great things in my life. I’m truly blessed to have such an amazing family, warm home, and a fantastic job.
